PERSONAL TRAINING & ONE-ON-ONE COACHING
I’m passionate about helping people create healthy exercise and lifestyle changes that will improve their quality of life - especially important as we get older.
If you could do a little bit more exercise every day, can you imagine how different your life would be?
Never exercised? Totally afraid of entering a gym? Or maybe you’re returning to exercise after a long time away - you are exactly the kind of person I can help… …because that person was me.
Developing base strength, learning movement patterns, improving coordination, and creating the mind-muscle connection will help you get more out of your gym workouts and help prevent injury.
WHY THE ACTIVE JOURNEY?
In my 20s I was a bit of a gym junkie, I practically lived at the gym, only ate tuna and rice, keeping fit was easy.
In my 30s I got married, had kids, worked, life was great but I forgot to look after me.
In my 40s it hit me. I was sitting at a desk all day in a well-paid corporate job I hated, stressed, not sleeping, so so tired, and the unhealthiest and most unfit I had ever been… …and the doctor just told me my cholesterol was very high. Crap.
So I decided on a personal challenge - I was going to commit to doing at least 30 minutes of exercise every single day for a whole year*. So I did.
My sleep improved dramatically, my mental health improved, stress levels decreased, the sugar and coffee cravings all but disappeared, and I had so much more energy to play with my kids. And being that bit fitter just made me so much happier in my own skin.
Do I regret not doing this 10 years ago - absolutely, but I wasn’t ready then.
Let’s all be a little more active, come on a journey with me.
*I chose a whole year because I didn’t think I could do it, I wanted it to be really hard (it was), but if I decided to quit a few months in I could still feel great that I worked out every day for 3 months or whatever. But something crazy/magical happened, I normalised exercise as part of my daily routine so much that I looked forward to it, it became my favourite part of the day. The feeling of accomplishment and the wave of endorphins after exercise only fuelled my motivation to keep going.
